Deep social and political change originates with citizens, not elites. The photo above shows a remarkable example of the change that occurs when everyday people organize to change this country: after three decades of advocacy survivors of residential schools present the Justice Minister of Canada with conclusive proof of genocide and the path to addressing it.
The Remembering Project provides opportunities to collectively assume responsibility and translate that commitment into action. Now is the moment to honour our reputation for upholding human rights and foster a renewed relationship among all nations on this shared land.
