Dr. Susanne Droege is Senior Fellow in the Global Issues Division at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin. She studied economics in Berlin, Warwick and Kiel. Susanne is specialised in climate and international economics and has a long-standing work experience on trade and environment. She advises the German Parliament, the German Government and International Organisations on climate policy issues. Her research focuses on the EU’s, US’s, Chinese and other countries’ climate policy strategies, the UNFCCC negotiations, and trade (policy) issues that come along with ambitious climate policies and instruments. Susanne is a member of various advisory boards, teaches and publishes regularly in her fields of research.
