Dr. Kate Zinszer, University of Montreal

Dr. Kate Zinszer holds a PhD in epidemiology (McGill University, Quebec) and a postdoctoral fellowship in computational epidemiology (Harvard Medical School). Since 2017, she has been an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health at the University of Montreal in global health and a researcher at the Centre for Public Health Research (CReSP). Having practiced public health epidemiology in various public health authorities prior to her PhD, her interdisciplinary background allows her to use tools from the fields of epidemiology, public health, informatics, and statistics to unravel causes, predict future burdens, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions for infectious diseases. Kate is currently involved with several COVID-19 projects, including a large-scale seroprevalence study in schools and daycares in Montreal and a multi-country comparison of COVID-19 response efforts.
