Dr. Aleksandra Leligdowicz, University of Western Ontario

Dr. Aleksandra Leligdowicz studied medicine at McGill University and completed a PhD at Oxford University. Following residency in internal medicine (UBC), a fellowship in critical care (U of T) and postdoctoral work in immunology of severe infection (UofT and UCSF), she is an assistant professor at the University of Western Ontario with the division of CriticalCare Medicine and a clinician scientist with the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Robarts Research Institute. Her research focuses on immune dysregulation in critically ill patients with sepsis and lung injury due to infection, including COVID19.
