
Ann Fitz-Gerald, Balsillie School of International Affairs
Professor Ann Fitz-Gerald is the Director of the Balsillie School of International Affairs and a professor of international security at Wilfrid Laurier University’s Department of Political Science. She is widely published on issues concerning national security and security governance and has facilitated internationally-sponsored peace talks. Prior to returning to Canada in 2019, Ann was Director, Defence & Security Leadership at Cranfield University’s campus at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. She is a Senior Security & Justice Adviser to the UK Government, a Senior Research Associate at the Royal United Services Institute in London and holds a number of non-executive board positions.
