
Roland Bank, UNHCR
Dr. Roland Bank has been working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) since 2005 where he currently is heading the protection unit of the Representation in Germany (Berlin). In the academic year 2012/13 and while on leave from UNHCR, he held the position of a Lecturer in International Human Rights Law and Refugee Law at the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford. From 2011 to 2014, he taught international human rights and refugee law at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin as a guest lecturer. He studied law in Tübingen and Freiburg and holds a PhD from the University of Freiburg. He has published broadly on international human rights law and refugee law.
