
Matthias Diermeier, Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft
Matthias Diermeier is the personal research assistant to Prof. Dr. Michael Hüther at the German Economic Institute (IW). His research focuses on globalization, political economy, voting behaviour and the welfare state. Matthias Diermeier is a PhD candidate at the University of Duisburg-Essen in political science. He holds a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Zurich and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen. He is well experienced in managing interdisciplinary research projects and a member of different initiatives to foster social cohesion and democracy.
